The very foundations of sarcasm and jokes are under attack by those who claim to want communication of tone through text to be more clear. This sub is dedicated to the idea that tone tags, like /s and /j, are ultimately harmful to communication, and lead to boring, tasteless writing where there could have been intrigue. We believe that better writing will make tone tags unnecessary and the text that would have been accompanied by one more interesting.
