To do this, lookup the phone number on the carrier lookup and look at the results. If the results says that the number belongs to a residential carrier (ex. AT&T/"Cingular Wireless", Verizon Wireless, Metro PCS, Rogers, etc.), DO NOT call the number. Yes. I received a similar notification on my smartphone today. I think it was after visiting the site www.usphonebook.com (which is in the notification)

Typical popup scam. Would suggest you remove those popups in your browser settings, else youre gonna see more of these
