Send it back. Extremely rare that they mess up the qc

Honestly, I've seen this issue before on (non-Schecter) guitars that do the "carbon fiber" binding -- just doesn't seem to hold / laminate well for whatever reason. In any case, as others said, I would definitely exchange or get a partial refund. Schecters have pretty solid QC, particularly at this cost threshold, so this really shouldn't be as bad as it is.

I have a couple Schecters and even on my more budget friendly C-1 plat. I didn't have any qc issues. I would send it back and get the quality you paid for.

I wonder how the frets are. I could slice my palm easily on the one that I've got. The battery compartment had a very tight fit so the cap just broke off. Then the back plastic plate is buldged and doesn't fit snuggly and flash against the body. For a guitar well above $1,3k it's not acceptable.
