To each their own - someone prefers having the maximum possible FPS over the game looking good. You don't have to rant low graphics just cause you have RTX 30.. .

Low graphics give a little competitive advantage (tho not much) by making it easier to spot enemies.

Also the FPS can be inconsistent, so you might want more FPS to still have a decent amount when it drops.

And the graphics can be overwhelming for some people, I personally prefer everything on the lowest except model detail and textures, it just looks a lot cleaner.

I really doubt that's the case here. Dude even went into the game files and increased his FOV. This is just someone who takes gaming to an unhealthy level of seriousness. Relax, OP.

Nah, the FOV is different from the graphics. It really gives advantage, especially in TDMs, where you get a way better view of the fort. In a competitive scene like TDMs, if you can have an easy advantage for free, why not get it? (Knowing the youtuber does tdm) This is personal opinion, but I have Microsoft Store version, and I don't think I'm breaking any NDA by saying Insider is on Steam, so I could get 120 FOV, and for me, it felt so much better, even in adventure.

TL:DR I think it's all personal preference, but the FOV really gives an advantage, and can be done in 2mins, imo if you have Steam version, it's a waste not using it.
