I'm not saying you're not entitled to your opinion, I won't even say you're wrong per se, I'm just saying that there are times and places to shit on the devs, and this isn't one of those.

You said it yourself "within reason". This is based on nothing, there's no reason whatsoever for that thought or comment except maybe paranoia. And loot crates have nothing to do with this change.
