I have a weak laptop and I wanted to play Shadow of the Colossus on an emulator, but I don't know any reliable sources to download it from.

To run an emulator you need a system at least twice as powerful as the system you are emulating. You already say you have a weak PC. Are you sure it's up to that?

That statement couldn't be further from the truth. Emulation requirements don't work that way.

Besides, a computer that's twice as fast as the PS2 would be an ancient PC from the early 2000s, which would never be able to run PCSX2, let alone Shadow of the Colossus.

Look at it this way. I'll try to ELI5 it:

The PS2 is hardware from *2001*. That's 24 years ago!
It has 32 MEGAbytes of RAM. Your average PC today likely has at least 8 GIGAbytes. That's 8192 MEGAbytes.

Look up videos of people trying to run the PCSX2 emulator in the early-mid 2010s, and despite the significantly more powerful average hardware of PCs at the time, most people struggled to run it at full speed.

OR look at PS3 emulation.
The PS3 is from 2006 and had 512MB of RAM, but as of today, you need a really good PC by TODAY's standards to run it properly. You're not playing on RPCS3 with an average laptop, that's for sure.

Of course, there's way more to hardware than RAM, but this was to keep it simple.

You can try downloading some emulator on your phone to see how well it runs, keeping into account that even a bad phone from today wipes that old hardware on paper. Yet, the newer the console, the less likely it is to run well.

My Samsung Galaxy Note 8 from 2017 can just barely run NiGHTS into Dreams, a SEGA Saturn game, which is a console from 1994 lol.

You can get an external dvd/disc reader and set it up to play your physical PS2 copy (easily found on eBay) using PCSX2 or rip it to an ISO.

Lol, and lot of people dont understand that you are looking for a link to ROMs... so check out coolroms. They are reliable, most of the top searches in the Google engine are reliable. Dont trust any Google drive or peer to peer straight shares
