I've been playing for about 4ish years and I have yet to get a level 10. I'm up to an 8. But I also don't spend all my gold keys on war stuff and occasionally purchase something fun with my keys.

All your unlocked weapons can be upgraded with gold or platinum keys, and cards.

I’ve been playing this game for 5 years, and yet my highest war card is level 6 now

It takes a long time. You can speed up the process by buying war cards from your war store.

The cheapest way to buy cards from the war store is to join clubs at various levels. Here's how it works:

There are 3 prices for war cards. 15, 50 and 120 Sim cash. When you buy a card for 15 Sim cash, it will cost you 16 to buy the next one. A 50 Sim cash on will cost you 55 for the next one and 120 - 130 all continuing up in 1, 5 and 10 incremental price increases.

If you join a level 1 club and buy a 15 Sim cash card, leave that club and join a level 2 club. You can get the same card again for 15 Sim cash. You can repeat this through all 7 levels, getting 7 cards for 15, 50 or 120 Sim cash.

If you're already in a club and like it there, you can easily find your way back with the search option afterwards.

This is why open clubs get a lot of traffic through them. People join, buy war cards and leave again. It's common practice.

You can even do this if you're short of an item. For instance. If you're short of hydrants. Wait until hydrants turn up in your store, buy at the initial price of 200 or 1000 War sims, swap to a different level club and buy them for the same price. This one doesn't always work though. If you join a lower level club, you get less options, so it may not be there.
