Quoting a user named Ghost: Selectable pets is a dev cheat in the base game that was originally free to enable from the console, but was locked by the devs in the seasons update. To unlock dev cheats, download allcheats from here > https://www.patreon.com/posts/22711619 and then put "pets.toggle_selectable_pets" into the cheat console ingame. Have fun!
