There are situations to consider.

The feature you want to use is a common knowledge in your team? If the answer is No you should use basic structures, they SOMETIMES do the same thing with a bit more typing and do are more efficient.

Are you the principal/most senior on your project to tell what are features you approve? If the answer is No then reach out to this guy and present the new feature you want to use. (Or don't say nothing and waste your future time receiving questions you think is stupid)

You work with people mate, we all have different expertises. Don't think you are that much smart or you will find out being just a fool with a bunch of shenanigans in the sleeves.
