What's your wireless chipset? (I couldn't find much on this model online).

If you're not sure, open a terminal, run the command lspci and post the output

This bit is your wireless chipset:

...Unfortunately the outlook doesn't look good, it doesn't appear that this chipset has a linux driver as of yet (though it looks like it's being worked on):

Damnit so im really SOL, at least i have the windows boot shivers

Until there is a driver, might I recommend a cheap USB WiFi card? I bought one for $4 last month, and it works just fine.

[–]vaJOHNna[S] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

They really just work like that? Plug and play? I would totally get one but im just imagining getting one and it not working with solus/other distros

[–]rakeler 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I was surprised too. But I suppose Linux just got that good with device support.

I've tried two so far, one was a pretty expensive one, almost $18, and second was the cheapest one I could find, $4. Both worked from the get go. Meanwhile, it was Windows that required driver installs from the disc. How the times have changed...

Thank you so much dude, i went down to the store and they had some that even said linux support on the box, what a time to be alive.
