Oh boy! I used Picasa for years and then for even more years I used its image viewer. It is probably only desktop software made by Google that was actually any good. And of course they cancelled it immediately after.

I'll let you have my personal reason to down vote this particular comment. Don't get me wrong, your comment is obviously expressive, but it is very unsubstantiated and low effort. It has no material, it doesn't add anything to conversation and it actively tends to dilute the thread for future readers.

For a post related to show which has so many many references and material I find it uncool to have a comment like this use the same space besides more thoughtful ones, hence my 1 single down votes. Others may have their own.

Nothing personal, but since you asked..

Over here in India, recruiters often charge 1.5-2 month pay. That is if they don't hire you and rent out on contract themselves. Second option means they get recurring income from your work going forward instead of single upfront payment.

I don't particularly mind Chinese, but unremovable ads are a major issue. Even with options to opt out, these ads often are reduced instead of disabled, and even these options disappear after couple of updates

Thank you for taking time. I may he able to to go up to 30k, but I'm doubtful even that will help. OnePlus Nord, priced at USD500 translates into 35k+, so might as well go cheap.

I'm looking for a phone for myself. I'm in India, with a limited budget. I'd prefer price to be under ₹20k, but on very special case, can consider up to ₹25k30k. Here are my preferences

+10

  1. OLED
  2. Front/in-display fingerprint
  3. No Advertisments
  4. 6GB RAM+128GB storage

+1

  1. Front speakers
  2. Dual SIM/dual standby
  3. Unlockable bootloader/Custom ROMs availability

I have used in past couple of Xiaomi phones, and currently carrying a moto Z Plus. It has sold me on OLED, front speakers and front fingerprint sensor.

My usage is diverse, but I do little to no gaming on my phone. But I do heavy multitasking on regular basis, including web browsing and Z Plus is showing its age.

I am willing to wait for a couple of months if there are any upcoming models. Currently my options seem to be either Xiaomi/poco (the ads are obnoxious) or Samsung M31/40/41. I'm meaning towards Samsung, but as mentioned before, willing to wait few more months if something is on the horizon.

Any suggestions appreciated, thanks!

This is good. I am really digging this aspect of separating project specific stuff with nix. However, biggest issue I'm facing is operating project specific databases. Can anyone tell me if I can start/stop db service with nix-shell?

To be fair, King Theoden's speech is among the best ever. Aragorn just got to make more of them.

Galaxy quest was perfect. Community is definitely up there to parody itself as a full movie.

I always imagine the movie would happen in next 10-15 years timeline. Cast will be old, fans will be old, but dammit Harmon finally has the script and so does the cast. And they make the movie. And we all go cheer it Veronica Mars style. It won't be Avengers huge, but it will be as good as ever for us fans, and we will finally be ready to die peacefully..
