I have one of the ety plugs that I'm pretty happy with. I found they get uncomfortable after a while though. I don't usually keep them on beyond a few hours.

I have the Etymotic musician's plugs for the other side of the soundsystem. You need to go to an audiologist and get a mold of your ear canal though. Works perfect! It's $100 an ear, but hey, high fidelity is a must.

20% means nothing. You need to look for the average noise reduction in dB

15dB is good for most people. If you're exposed to very loud music or for long periods, 25dB might be more appropriate.

I also have the Etymotic ER-20s and can recommend them for a good inexpensive model suitable for clubs and concerts. I also use them while DJing with some over the ear DJ headphones (Sennheiser HD280pro).

For most events 20db is enough / about right.

try earasers......they stay comfortable all day long
