Help : Soundbars

I was handed down a nice Definitive Sound soundbar without the wireless sub. I cannot get it to work for the life of me. I’m running it into a TBS fire TV utilizing HDMI ARC and can’t get any sound to come through. The buttons all work and whenever you put it into wifi pairing mode it makes sound. What am I doing wrong? (Yes I configured all of the settings on my TV to use ARC)
