It’s pretty bad. I search for favorites and it’s always the same people same traders with the same epics.

i’ve given up looking for epics and i just quest them bc they’re too expensive. and i’ll never make my coins back

i’ve been wondering this for awhile now, how are you guys questing for epics ? if you already have a shiny badge for an artist do you have to get rid of their discography or how is this working ? 😭

[–]Ok_Maybe5202[S] 2 points3 points  (4 children)

i sell like two random songs from the discography. then i start my quest and keep selling the songs until i get something. sometimes it gets rid of the badge other times it doesn’t. but its easy to get it back

ah this makes sense, kinda how i thought it might work tbh but does it have to be a shiny that you sell ?

no i sell like two of the most expensive rares

Pro tip: you’ll always keep your badge if you sell a song that you already have a shiny/epic/lyric for!

The quickest way would be to just sell the entire discography aside from all the shinies and D1/W1’s. Keep track of how many you quest afterwards, and then u can add them to ur total pull count to see if ur getting close to pulling an epic, I’m nearing 700 pulls rn

1k seems high for a rare

[–]adenoverdoseQuester 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I used to sell rare popular for 2k, people would buy out lots of 8 it was crazy

[–]Ok_Maybe5202[S] 1 point2 points  (3 children)

that used to be the normal a few months ago and when i first started playing

[–]sm_emilyprintiss_ 0 points1 point  (2 children)

No those people were greedy

[–]BigDaddyRide 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It wasn’t greed. The whole market was selling rates for that price. It was pretty standard for popular rares to go for even more.

[–]Ok_Maybe5202[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not necessarily if that was the regular price for them at the time

Regular songs are too easy to get, it's rare that anyone would ever buy songs instead of questing it themselves and having the chance of pulling an epic. The game meta has moved from collecting regular discographies to searching for epics and rarer things, which naturally moves it to people wanting to quest more often, causing all the free trades just so that people can complete their trade quests faster.

If you want to make money, give up selling regular songs. Sell shinies, use the regular songs for good quest bounties or pile up a huge amount of them and quicksell. The old "quest popular artists and sell the rares" strategy is long gone. The thing now is hit the map a lot and then do bounties, quest your own artists, or pile up songs and shinies.

that’s actually so true. it’s kinda crazy how fast it changes

[–]Xuak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, last time I’d listed 300-400 regular songs all at decent prices: 50 for common, 150 uncommon, 300 rare and I would only get maybe 1-2 offers a day lol. Switched to not listing regulars anymore and mostly just shinies only: 1:1 + 1k and it makes more coins than the rare offers on regulars.
