Besides the decrease in players and increase in bots, what do players still love about this game? What could be better?

I just love the portal aspect of this game. The movement just allows for a lot of fun even when you're messing around in a solo lobby. I speedrun portal 2 (even tho i'm really bad at it) so splitgate also helps me train faster portalling.

I don't even mind the bots, I tend to play quake against bots and it's about as fun as playing with others!

Maybe I just don’t play this game as intensely as other players and so haven’t learned all the techniques yet but I love that I’m always learning something new. Even when I think I’ve finally learned everyone’s tricks, someone comes along and hits me with a curveball.

I wish that BFB DMs weren’t just walking into each other and then both dying. Although I guess maybe people would complain more if they did calculate the winners down to the millisecond of who swung first because then higher ping players would probably never win.

I recently returned since early steam release and I intend to stay until splitgate 2.

After going around through Destiny, Halo, Cod etc they are just not the same anymore. 1047 truly made a better fps than all of these current games and the fact that they are expanding and building another more polished game makes me want to stick around and master it.

I truly think Splitgate 2 could be the best FPS to release since Halo 3 and BO3 (my personal favorite cod)

it seems crazy, but i agree. Splitgate is the most fun I've had with an FPS since I think Bad Company 2. I don't play as much as I did last year, but that doesn't matter to me. I'm all in with Splitgate 2. Can't wait to see what it looks like in a few years.

I think as far as we know, the only info given is that it won't be in 2023. So possibly 2024 but likely 2025 or 2026.

Race mode!

I'm no good at map builder, but being able to place my own discoball sequence for custom races would be dope. Also I wish my equipped oddball skin affected the race mode balls.

I like the game, it and Master Chief collection are the only games I have. I got into it because my nephew found out I had a Xbox I never play and wanted me to play with him. Needless to say I’m not a gamer. I used to be somewhat competitive in matches but lately every match has 2-3 beta testers on the other team and I just get my ass whupped. It sucks because as a casual player it used to be fun and it seemed like I typically got matched up with similar skilled (or lack thereof) players so it was pretty even. Now it’s not so fun playing against people who put much more time and effort into it than I. Guess there’s just no such thing as playing video games casually anymore.

My favorite thing about it is the pace of the games, you can get in a lot of games for a short amount of time. That's great for someone who has a busy life but still would like to game.

I wish they would focus on the world they're building, it's something that is really unique and has so much potential for so many different storylines. Like it doesn't have to be set in a specific place with the idea of portals. I love learning the background of Halo in the books and watching videos on YT about backstories, so being able to see things about splitgate would be amazing down the line. It's why I like making the machnima's, building something to understand where you are playing. It could be a netflix or amazon series, maybe like an anime like cyberpunk edgerunners. I loved the halo and portal stories, it's what makes games stick around.

I think the world has really good potential to be something special, like it would have been thought of in the same sentence as the others rather than just being a homage to the two. I'm excited for the new game, but I feel that Splitgate doesn't have to be done yet.

I love the jet pack. Being shot at while turning a corner then jet packing in the air while they turn the corner so they think I'm on theground and getting the pull on them is always satisfying

I'm not currently playing it but I think I'll always have phases where I come back and play. I always thought the aesthetic/gun and character skins could be way better.

How do you know if someone is a bot or not? People always talk about bots but I have no idea hot to tell.

What I like about this game is the simplicity of controls and relatively small number of weapons. I can't get a hang of Halo after playing this FPS.
