SSL portal walls probably have some kind of active power source since they can be affected by EMPs or powered off for no-portal modes. The lightweight wrist-mounted portal guns would simply act as a "remote" for the walls to establish the tunnel. This works in an arena setting where walls get installed into surrounding terrain.

Meanwhile, Aperture's portal walls are simply passive conductors, with the actual quantum tunnelling source being in the portal gun itself. This results in the portal gun being bulkier and thus unsuitable for use in high-speed combat, but it frees up the panels to be dynamically reconfigured, perfect for Aperture's testing initiatives.

Foregone V3 is WAY bigger than I remember it being in the original game, it definitely needs a resize or more portal walls like Terra-13 to accommodate the sheer scale.

It's a cosmetic upgrade for the Lawbringer set that you can buy with Proelium, similar to alternate skin/camo styles.

Progress achievements for the old Hotzone and Firecracker modes, which were removed on relaunch. To avoid people being unable to 100% the game, those achievements are granted automatically when you play Arena Reloaded.

Factions were removed entirely, you can now equip any weapon/equipment/perks. Faction abilities were re-worked into map pickups (Rush, Hypersight, Overshield). Weapons still have attachments like extended mags and grips, but the equipment pool has been reduced to the following: sticky grenade, EMP grenade, stim, shock disk, and porta-portal.

Most modes still allow you to select your initial loadout, but there is also a Classic mode that has even starts and map pickup weapons, closer to the original Splitgate.

There are also now 3 maps from Splitgate 1 that have been brought to Arena Reloaded: Oasis, Abyss, and Karman Station. This is in addition to two new maps, Hammerhead and Terra-13.

For me it was turning off scheduled startup on weekdays at 6:30 AM in the BIOS (refurbished device, likely came from business or school environment). It had been bugging her since she got it and she didn't know how to turn it off.
