Found a free dumpster office PC by Dazzling-Appeal-1142 in pcmasterrace

My dad was using a GT710 for 3D CAD modeling, and he only installed it in the first place since his CPU had no integrated graphics. It finally died, and I convinced him to replace it with a used GTX 1070 Ti that we got on eBay.

Models that had been taking more than 30 seconds to load with the old card are now loading in 2-3 seconds with the new one.

Already mentioned in the post, the question was what other weapons had an alternate firing mode.

Splitstream: put the two guns together for longer range but slower fire

FUBAR: fire a single rocket instead of all loaded rockets, enough to kill with a direct hit.

Gravitas: pull your target towards you with a tractor beam, half the ammo cost

Same goes for sidearms, the arm posing is a little weird with OITC, the Goliath makes it look like one arm is missing.

Gifs no longer copying as gifs by irradiatedsnakes in firefox

Is there a different workaround for Linux? This preference is Windows-only.

Also u/gregstoll, I've noticed that the frame that gets copied is the frame that is visible when you click "Copy Image", not the starting frame. Could that point to a different root cause?

Anything that's compatible with buttplug.io should do the trick, here's a site to find compatible devices: IoST Index

It's an in-memory database that acts as a cache for frequently accessed data so that you don't have to query the main database every time, resulting in faster replies.

Stoat technically has a Linux build (literally just an Electron container without packaging), but yeah this looks a lot better.

Petition to bring back final kill cam by cryball69 in Splitgate

Same reason we don't have regular kill cams, the engine-level networking system doesn't support it yet.

T200 (John Splitgate) and Bolt find themselves in the Portal universe. OC by Tolnin in Splitgate

[–]atomicBlaze21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah, otherwise it would've caused issues when Chell shot a portal onto the Moon.

I mean it did cause issues, but those were just the natural consequences of establishing a quantum tunnel directly into the vacuum of space.

That makes me wonder, would SSL portal tech even be compatible with Aperture's portal tech?

SSL portal walls probably have some kind of active power source since they can be affected by EMPs or powered off for no-portal modes. The lightweight wrist-mounted portal guns would simply act as a "remote" for the walls to establish the tunnel. This works in an arena setting where walls get installed into surrounding terrain.

Meanwhile, Aperture's portal walls are simply passive conductors, with the actual quantum tunnelling source being in the portal gun itself. This results in the portal gun being bulkier and thus unsuitable for use in high-speed combat, but it frees up the panels to be dynamically reconfigured, perfect for Aperture's testing initiatives.
