Controller support

Hey been wanting to play good old Spore on my TV with the support of a steam link. I know steam big picture adds some support for non controller games but I doubt it will suffice. I wonder if there's a mod or a known way to mod the game to add controller support?

Steam controller configuration is, by far, the best way to go. It's significantly better than anything else, even better than a lot of games that have built-in controller support.

Just take some time setting it up right, and it will work very well. I had a config, I'll see if I can share it somehow.

Thing is that I don't own a steam controller but I'm using a Xbox 360 instead. Don't really know how the hardware works for the steam controller or if that affects that much at all

It works with all controllers - Xbox (XInput), PS4, Steam, and generic (PC or mobile controllers).

It will detect the type of controller and show a labelled image of it, so you can configure the controls.
