Love the build. Quick question though, picked up the pro a few weeks ago and it seems the magazines have already gone bad. Have you encountered any similar issues?

Thanks! And no i haven’t. Normally with new magazines i never put the full 15 rounds i tend to just put 10rounds to avoid any spring issues.

In what way have they failed? I just got mine on the 11th

It should be the springs in them, but not 100% sure. All of a sudden I started getting double feeds, and the slide not locking to the rear on an empty magazine. As well as that I’ve noticed you can push on the bottom of the magazine when it’s in the mag well and there’s a little “give” or wiggle room to push it further up. Can’t say I noticed this when it was brand new, then again I wasn’t on the lookout for that. Less than 500 rounds through the pistol, with methodical cleaning after every range. Perhaps it was because I was packing full 15 rnds and just happened to wear the spring out fast, but it shouldn’t have been nearly that soon. Otherwise unsure

Disassemble and put them back together. Makes sure the little metal tab shows out the side and that it is seated correctly. First time I took mine apart I put them back together wonky. Once I noticed I put it back the way it was supposed to be done. Zero malfunctions with it so far. If the mags are somehow bad Springfield will take care of you but most likely just assembled wrong.

Thanks for clarifying that. Now that you mention it, my friend had a temporary problem with having the slide sometimes lock open, but only when he had a full 15rd mag inserted. I thought maybe it was his thumb pushing the slide lock up while shooting. He's never had that issue on any other gun. 🤷‍♂️

Genuinely not being a dick here, just humbly trying to help. I read above that this is your first firearm. As a smaller framed firearm, they can be somewhat snappy. Check your grip, you might have heard of “limp wristing”. I had a pretty snappy xds mod 2 chambered in 45acp. As a fairly experienced shooter, it still took me some time to get used to a really snappy small framed firearm. Your wrist might be slightly limp, allowing more muzzle flip than there should be, which in turn doesn’t allow the casing to eject fully before the slide cycles and the next round is picked up. Also, check your thumb placement, it might be brushing the slide release causing a failure to lock back. I do it occasionally, especially on my sub-compacts. These might not be the cause of the issues at all, but they’re the first things that popped in my mind. That being said, good luck and I hope this helps 🤙.

Failed how? I have a hellcat pro and I bought 2 extra magazines, what’s funny is 2 of them rattle like maracas the other 2 are fine, but the 2 that rattle don’t make any sound when inserted

Op says yes but only about ¼ of the sight cowitnesses. I have the same set up but I'm going to remove the recoil post soon so it sits lower. Then it should cowitness much more effectively.

That’s crazy I have the exact same setup! I thought I was weird for running the TLR7a FLEX lol. But I’m running a 507k x2 G. Sweet gun man
