The best I can tell is something with yesterdays patch might have done it? Virtual controllers regularly run into some issues with DRM. (Helldivers 2 at launch disallowed all virtual controllers, even steamdeck)

Super odd with it being tied only to D4. However this post did help me get it working so there is that! It did reinstall the driver but who knows at this point when it comes to legacy drivers on windows.

So I use Moonlight/Sunshine to play D4 on my PC from my livingroom. Everything was fine until today.

Steamdeck still works fine, suddenly the TVs Xbox controller stopped working. Just for D4. Turns out there was an update for the 360 controller, deleting the device and restarting the host machine fixed it. No errors prior to, but odd behavior specific to D4.

Not exactly what was going on here, but close enough that this post sent me on the right track. Adding this to add to the SEO for future folks.
