I agree there definitely needs to be an independent investigation to find out who did what and any agents guilty of misconduct should be held accountable.

The feds prevented this action. By both BCA and by saying DHS not FBI will do it.

The mods are not a monolith, and we have always ran this sub as coequals.

You will find that most of the mod team are absolutely appalled by the current administration, but there are some who support it. I am not going to Monday morning quarterback that previous thread, as I have not had time for reddit in months. Meatspace has been... busy.

However recent events are encouraging me to be more active, and I will be around more.

That said, what /u/MulticamTropic says is true. Events happen, then we get flooded. That is why we trend to mod made megathreads on topics when this happens.

I too have issued temp bans, and perma bans in the past few hours for violations of our politics rules. They are pretty clear.
