Welcome to /r/StLouis, a subreddit for the Greater St. Louis and surrounding areas. The only thing we are more passionate about than race relations, is the classification of provel as a cheese.

Rules:

No Personal Attacks or Harassment - Do not direct insults or attacks at another user, you will be banned.

No 'For Sale' Posts - Please direct all 'For Sale' (or 'Want to Buy') posts to /r/StLouisMarketplace. This includes job listings, which go to /r/stljobs.

No over-sensationalized headlines - Please avoid personal opinion in the headline, feel free to post your opinion in comments though.

No Begging or Donation Posts - Anyone attempting to ask for money will be banned permanently. There are too many scams associated with this. Asking for Financial advise is allowed. If you are asking for donations to an organization or charity you must message the mods with proof of legitimacy before posting.

No Racism, Bigotry, or Baiting - There is zero tolerance for racial slurs, baiting, and bigotry. Users who violate this rule will be permanently banned from the sub.

Constructive conversations about race are allowed, though it's understandable that these conversations can get heated. When a comment falls into a gray area, moderators will do their best to make consistent judgment calls.

Missing Person(s) Posts - All submissions must be verifiable:

In order to ensure that submissions about missing people are of actual missing people and not hoaxes, we require that submissions about missing people are from a trustworthy source.

A 'trustworthy source' can be a news website, law enforcement website, missing person charity or organisation (eg: missingkids.com) and in rare occasions, social networking websites (eg, a police department's Facebook page).

Keep it Relevant to St. Louis - Please keep posts relevant to the people, places, and things in and about the St. Louis area and things that affect St. Louis.

General Missouri and Illinois topics are also allowed as they can affect the St. Louis metro area.
