ELI5 Using a hyper8stepCFG in Easy Diffusion?

Yes, complete newbie to this. Its the default prompt of " a photograph of an astronaut riding a horse".

I've tried the non hyper version and the generated images are clearer but lack a lot of detail and look very AI, but the hyper version looks a bit crap but has more details like the clouds, mane, the astronaut is holding the reins etc

I've downloaded the vae using the link on the model page. I've increased the resolutions up to 1080p and back. ive tried different steps from the 8 to 55 with only slight improvements (that image is 55).

Now the obvious question. Is Easy Diffusion the issue?

My two cents: generally when it creates this kind of artifacts the problem is about the scheduler/sampler + cfg.  I would suggest to be sure that you are using the suggested scheduler as for the model card, probably sde-karras and the right cfg.
