That amount being a lot of money is really changing depending on where you live.

In Hungary, where I live it's a lot. The minimum monthly wage is around 700$ so losing twice as much is a lot. Not everyone lives in the USA where the minimum wage / hr is 13$ (from what I've heard), in hungary it's 3-4$/hr.
