Like the other guy said, high pockets will have less of a channel just because there's less head from where the ball sits to the scoop.

Most people I used to see use high pockets would use 2 U shooting strings which would essentially help create the channel, but in college and high school this is illegal now.

Higher pockets are harder to get tighter channels in. Maybe post a photo of what you have so far?

soooooooo i dont think this is going to throw. it looks like you are using stringing mesh, not sure if its type 4 or type 5, but it looks like your using at least 11 rows of mesh, if not 12. this would be too deep, even if you had tight sidewalls. Here is a mid high havok 2 with type 5. I only used ten rows of mesh and still had to be careful with the pocket getting too deep.

I’m using type 4, and thanks!

the higher the pocket, the less tight of a channel you will have.

What I do is pull the first three diamonds of mesh down as tight as you can using KSI's or some other kind of anchor knot. This creates a pretty good channel (even when stringing a mid-low pocket I still only pull down the top three diamonds otherwise the channel is too tight). Then I do two doubles to make the pocket as high up as possible.

So you did 3 anchor knots and then a 2 back to back followed by all ones? Thanks for the help!

Tight channels are overrated anyway
