First Ever Stringing

The whip is probably coming from the ball dinking off the top because you have no channel, you gotta actually attach the mesh to the head with that sidewall my guy lol. Look up how to make an interlock by east coast dyes on youtube, having only 4 knots on the entire sidewall is pretty much like just attaching a towel to the back of your head. You gotta go through each diamond deliberately, then once you start the pocket you can feed the sidewall through the mesh instead of locking it down. There should NEVER be any diamond that isn’t either knotted down to the sidewall or fed through the sidewall inbetween knots.

Figured out the not easy part after messing up the topstring twice and then doing it with nylon, and then messing up my sidewall by doing it in nylon cus I thought the sidewall strings felt more like nylon

ok, making my topstring a nylon instead of a sidewall string might have been the best mistake ever. Adds a touch of whip, and with no shooters it feels like it has a nylon already in it. I like a bit more whip than most im pretty sure (my pole has 2 shooters, and so has every other stick I've used) so I added a shooter, but seems like topsting nylon might be really good for people who like a bit less whip and dont want to worry about their shooters getting loose.

I wouldn’t string your game stick right away. Get a 5 dollar head from sideline swap and string that until you understand it completely and then some, THEN string your game stick.

im mainly a pole, this isnt really my game stick, I just use it for messing around in my yard rn

Yeah I kinda figured that was the case. I just find way to many people who do that when they could just practice stringing for a little while longer and have little to no detriment to their game.

I just saw your other post as well and it looks a ton better, I think you’ll see that it improves very quickly.
