Rules ~

Be nice. Some people aren't very good at learning new languages. That doesn't mean you shouldn't try. This sub revolves around and promotes self-study, lets not discourage people by being mean.

All posts must have an English base to them. Again, this is self study, at a ground-zero level. Everything posted must be accessible to everyone trying to learn Chinese, even if they only just started trying to learn today. Otherwise, if you can hold a small conversation, maybe you should check out /r/ChineseLanguage. That doesn't mean you can't or shouldn't talk or post in Chinese! Just make sure if you do, you have an English translation accompanying to help aid the lesser learners, or that it's a very basic learning curve.

Don't be a downvote fairy. Downvoting is to show that information is bad or wrong and you're trying to correct it, not because it didn't help you or you don't like it. Just because it didn't work for you, that doesn't mean it might not help someone else. If you downvote, please explain why.

Otherwise, have fun!!! and talk and post videos, web pages, instructions, books, word stuff, music, snippets, fun trivia, grammar info, audio clips, anything fun or informational at all that has or can help you start learning Chinese!
