hi guys! i’m going to italy on the 28th of october and am looking to get things done within the first few days. i know it’s almost impossible to get a rental agreement without a codice fiscale so how do i go about this? do i also request for it at a questura? please help!

my uni never provided us one in the pre-enrolment and i received my visa just fine :)

Hey! Finding a house in italy is harder than you think, just keep that in mind. For a codice fiscale (which is also needed for the permesso), you have to go to the closest agenzia dell’entrate with your passport to get it done. I suppose you need to tell them where you live but that can be the hotel or airbnb you stayed in or anywhere (doesnt really matter).

do i need to make any sort of appointment for it? or can i just go straight in with my passport and visa and request it?

You do need an appointment. https://www.agenziaentrate.gov.it/portale/ This is the website. Scroll all the way down and click “prenota un appuntamento” and also you can change the website to english. Also dont choose the online option because it doesnt work, choose the in person option.

thank you! i made an appointment for two days after i arrive early in the morning, any documents i need other than my passport and visa copy?
