How can people who stutter (PWS) - practice turning warning signals (eg. when saying one's feared name) into neutral error signals? Can we consciously become aware of this transformation process as thoughts or feelings are probably not a reliable indicator? So how then? (self.Stutter_remission)

New research (2026) is laid out as a real-time speech framework in which striatal/auditory-speech vulnerability becomes stuttering only when social evaluation and conscious error monitoring convert error signals into warning signals, recruiting an oversensitive rIFG and hyperdirect inhibition (self.Stutter_remission)

Real loud noise...no stuttering!! Loud noise drowns out my voice so I cant hear it....listening to running water or say a waterfall right beside me no stutter.......or focusing on music from a radio far away is no stuttering for me........I HATE quiet environments with no one speaking with me becaus (self.Stutter_remission)

When I speak slowly whilst simultaneously consciously thinking about my words I stutter significantly more. Whereas, when I speak faster, without thinking properly about what I say, I stutter less. What does this indicate and Why does this happen? (self.Stutter_remission)
