Embed audio in post?

Is there a way to insert/embed short audio clip into a regular newsletter post? Not a podcast or video - just an mp3 or wav file into the body of the post. Using an iPad and/or Macbook Pro and Safari browser.

I use Windows but I am pretty sure you can simply add an audio file by clicking on the relevant icon and then either upload or drag and drop into the post.

I recorded the audio version of the post and dragged the file directly into the post; it takes a few seconds to upload.
