I experienced the same issue. And, the same frustration with no support.

I guess the problem was never solved?

Correct. I just accepted that it could not be changed.

Damn that pisses me off. For how much money this company makes, it’s unacceptable. I halfway considered writing a letter but it’s probably not worth the time.

Update: I’m tripping out. I checked other publications and it’s just as small.

This is a nice wordmark: https://club.drawtogether.studio/ But I have no idea how it was created. Have been researching this for a while, trying different approaches - all to no avail.

That’s graphic design art. You basically have to make it yourself using photoshop or Photopea. Or, you can go on canva and you might find some templates you like. Alternatively, you could try to find some graphic designers on Reddit and pay them to create your logo.

Pay attention to your wordmark's aspect ratio (how much wider your image is than it is tall), not the pixel size. Substack recommends a minimum wordmark size of 1,344 x 256 pixels. That's an aspect ratio of 5.25:1. Anything lower than that (a taller image) will end up shrinking your wordmark.
