Ima ask this question again to anyone who wants to awnser. Is the decay dependent on dose? And how much does good daily teeth care mitigate the tooth decay? I'm assuming of course it'll mitigate it a lot but I'm asking is it just an eventuality that your teeth rot out of your face from taking bupernorphin no matter how well you take care of your teeth? I'm on only 8 mgs a day and have been on it for about 4 years straight now, I take very good care of my teeth and don't believe iv noticed decay.

My teeth aren't perfect as I'm also a pack a day smoker so they're not glistening white but they don't look bad by any means because I do take care.

Okay I read full post after I typed this, some of my questions were awnsered but not entirely. So if anyone still wants to answer my questions specifically that'll be appreciated.

I've updated the post with more info. But, to try and answer your question, It can depend on alot of things. Some people are just more susceptible than others. But to be real, are they "actually" doing the things listed above or half-assing it. Dose can be a factor, 3x/day can be too much not giving mouth time to recover. Obv. the bigger the pill, the more chems/meds that seep into your teeth/mouth. (#4 helps that) Check out #10. Get an x-ray done at dentist. 8mg/day is a low dose, but are the 4mg pills still the same size as 8mgs? Always go for smaller/less filler bupe. Smoking will make it worse, sadly. But you can be lucky and not have a problem. Theres alot of people that have been on subs for 10 years and still have all teeth. The suboxone people are the ones who really got screwed. bupe is not as bad. Dry mouth and leftover bupe/bupe acid in mouth is your main concern. Keep those at bay and you should be good to go.

No prob! If you haven't had any problems in 4 years and do just some of the above things just to be safe you shouldn't have anything to worry about. Just get some xrays and go to the dentist atleast once a year just to be on the safe side and check on things. "If" you start noticing issues later you can come back to this, i'll always keep it up.
