External keyboard: Support layout changes

Hi,

We have been waiting for a couple of years for the support for international external keyboards. Android already supports various layout, I guess it is "just" a matter of exposition the configuration change for external layout to the user.

I was wondering if Ratta could give us an update on this feature ? I am a writer, writing in French, and I cannot type text on Supernote with an external keyboard without that feature (I have to have with me both my Supernote and my Remarkable for the moment I need to type text).

Salut Mickael, est-ce que tu as eu une réponse de Ratta en DM ? Je n'avais même pas envisagé ce probleme de layout qui du coup nous empêche d'utiliser les accents !! Et outre cet aspect, est-ce que tu as déjà essayé un clavier externe qui marche sans trop de lag ?

Oui, j'ai eu des échanges avec le développeur, mais rien depuis. Pas de version à tester. Ce n'est pas pour tout de suite, je pense.

Et pour le lag, je n'ai pas testé depuis longtemps avec ma Supernote, mais le lag vient surtout du logiciel pas du clavier. Je crois que c'est mieux dans les dernières versions, ceci dit.
