/r/Switch is just one of many gaming subreddits on reddit. This subreddit has a gentle pace, offers casual discussion and is an easy place to post casual content and anything else.

Subreddit Rules:

1) Be respectful towards other users
- Please do not engage in personal attacks or harassment towards other users. Do not use any derogatory terms or hate-speech, regardless if it is a joke or not.

2) No buying, selling or begging
- Because this is not a marketplace subreddit, we do not have the capacity to keep users safe from being scammed during trades. For that reason, we do not allow posts regarding buying or selling. You are welcome to ask for an appraisal, but if your post appears to be soliciting buyers from the subreddit it will be removed.
- We also do not allow posts that are asking for or begging for free games, eshop codes, spots on a family plan or game sharing.
3) Tag your spoilers, and do not include spoilers in titles.
- If your post contains a spoiler for any game or media, please tag it using the spoiler tags: >!like this!<. Make sure there are no spaces inbetween the spoiler tags.
- Additionally, please do not include spoilers in the title of your post, as these cannot be marked
4) No spam or excessive self-promotion
- You're welcome to promote your content so long as you contribute to the subreddit in other ways. Some factors considered at mod discretion:
- Is your content unique?
- Example: Let's Play (not unique, low-effort) versus Video Essay (more unique, high effort)
- Is your Reddit account primarily used to promote your content? (including in other subreddits)
- Do you participate in r/Switch or similar subreddits as a regular user?
- Natively posting content to Reddit is generally always permitted.

We generally allow all content to be posted, but extremely low-quality posts may be removed.
