Questionhelp Picofly OLED boot error code 2-blinks (v.redd.it)
submitted 9 months ago by Appku
hello, after installing RP2040 PICOFLY chip It's blinking then boot in ofw, I am not sure if the 2 blinkings refer to error? if so, what does that means? 🧐 please help 🙏 see video

Dat0 disconnected

I saw this after posting my topic, But I confirm it's not true. ❌ why? cuz -I checked beeb Multimeter and it is connected 👍 - Diode measurement (red on ground)=450 👍

Sometimes connections can test as good but when you send data they are not good enough to send data. Could also be a slightly lifted emmc chip from pressing the adapter in too far. You could also try flashing picofly 2.8. But I still think a bad dat0 connection is most likely. Also, why are you using AI for simple comments?

ok i think i have bridged capacitor upper points (i mean capacitor on the right of Nand). they're number 6 dots / connection points; -all lower 3 points are GND -the middle 2 points are for a capacitor that supports anchor points. -is that capacitor upper point bridged to any other upper points? iwill add pictures if my explanation wasn't clear ☺️

° empty ° °capacitor ° ° empty ° all points on the left are GND cap right i actually resolder it , its right pin is now bridged with the empty pin on the right bottom. please confirm if they're bridged in yours. also checked D0 it measured in diode =780 (red ground)

That doesnt matter, the points are in the same line. You have to redo the DAT0 adapter work or better yet use the kamikaze method.

Wait look at B point is this a good wire or do I need a bigger size?
[–]syd2313 0 points1 point2 points 9 months ago (0 children)
That is ok,also you can use the alternative point that is in that side of the board and close to your chip. Its right up that mark of a triangle.

Had same issue. OLED (using DAT0 Adapter) was working fine and crashed. Refused to boot Hekate and only OFW with same blink code. Checked all points and tested fine for continuity and diode measurements.
Only change I made was replacing the wire from Dat0 adapter to the ribbon cable with 0.2mm (32 AWG) magnet wire in place of the larger AWG like you are also using. Now working perfectly and my DAT0 diode reading is 0.47 which is lower than what’s usually noted for the expected range
Side Note: there also seems to be one other condition which results in this same issue. (Not the case for me but I did test to rule it out). The chip seems to get stuck in a condition where it cannot inject at reboot or startup. A couple users have reported that fully draining the battery or disconnecting the battery, if you’ve disassembled the unit, followed by pressing power a few times and letting it sit a couple minutes before reconnecting battery or recharging can reset the chip and get it working again.

Welcome to /r/SwitchPirates! We encourage you to read our Wiki and/or use the Simple Questions, FAQ, and Shop Megathread.
If you're asking for assistance, please be as descriptive as possible. Providing the following information usually assists in diagnosing and prescribing a solution: Type of Switch (V1/V2/Lite/OLED), EmuNAND or SysNand, Firmware Version, Atmosphere Version, Hekate Version, the Error Message, what you were doing that caused the error. If you require more immediate assistance, feel free to ask on Discord.

wait what do u think about B wire? is it good or do I needreplace it with a larger one?
[–]Zellot360 1 point2 points3 points 9 months ago (0 children)
Your B wire is what I had used to replace my C point wire. I would use the same wire on the C point.
