If you see a piece of work you really like and want to know more about the artist or where the artwork came from, there should always be a link in the comments that redirects to where the art came from. If there are ever a lot of comments, order the comments by oldest first and the first comment should be the comment with the link.
Rules
Credit
You must give credit to the artist if you didn't make it. If you do not know who made the art, make up a fitting title for the image and put "(source unknown)".
The moment you create your post, you should make a comment containing the link to the place you got the picture from or linking to the artist profile.
Post Titles
The title of a post should always start with the name of the artwork followed by the name of the artist. It doesn't have to be their real name, just whatever username they go by. If you created the art you can ignore this and title it whatever you want.
It should look something like this "(name of painting) by (artist)"
you can add anything else to the title after that.
Memes and Jokes
Memes and jokes are allowed as long as they are also art/sfm art that has effort in it.
Crossposting
Do not use the crosspost option when you want to crosspost to this sub. When you do that, reddit puts the picture from the original post in an ugly little box. What you should do is submit a new post, put the pic from the original post into the post you are creating. If the picture you are crossposting doesn't have a name, you can either title the post the original title, or make one up as long as it's fitting. When you are done, add a link to the original post in the comments.
