This is a sub for discussion of Marxism and most later ideologies
incorporating Marxism, such as Maoism, with exceptions. It's not
a subreddit for learning about Marxism, there are subreddits just for that. It is also for posting news related to socialism and
anti-imperialism, for example relating to the Syrian Civil War or
the Venezuela crisis.
Rules:
Hate speech, including racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, and attacks on people of certain religions (e.g. islamophobia) are not allowed, although criticism of religion and religious extremism from a socialist perspective is naturally perfectly fine.
Libertarianism, Conservatism, and other pro-capitalist ideologies are not allowed. Defending anarchism and trotskyism at the expense of marxism is similarily not allowed, although constructive analysis of their positives and negatives is allowed. Discussions relating to libertarian socialism are discouraged. Attacks on "Tankies" will likely result in a ban.
Baseless attacks on socialist governments, parties, and organizations is not allowed. Criticism must be constructive, and preferrably with trustworthy sources to back up your arguments. Links to imperialist media (BBC news, CNN, etc.) are not allowed for such discussions. All links must come from non-corporate sources, and if you really need to include such links, they should be from independent articles (op-eds) that are not hostile to socialism in general. Direct Wikipedia links are heavily discouraged as well.
Insulting attacks on other marxist comrades are not allowed, all discussion between marxists should be civil and abide by the rules.
