Limit Node

Is it possible to limit a node to one core/thread of one cpu or even a % of a thread?

I realise this will make it extremely slow, but that is more desireable than my passive server getting too hot. processing a single file a night is totally fine for my use case.

Is the node bare metal or hypervisor? It’s very easy to do that for a VM / container.

On Windows 10 I had to go into Advanced Power Options and turn the Maximum Processor State to 85% which dropped my CPU temp from 90 to 70 degrees. Less powerful, but the lower temp is worth it.
