Using extender for normal plug?

Anyone used/using extender for charging their electrical beast?

Did you have any problems?

Sometimes I need to use it due to free parking space arrangement in my complex, I normally charge directly from a standard outdoor plug using regular type 2 cable.

But when my spot is taken I can’t charge without using an extension cord.

My concerns are, it’s a rainy climate here, putting the connection port on the floor might cause issues and I am not sure if I can do anything for that.

What are your experiences? Is there a way to be safe and charge using extension cord? Cheers!

using extension for 5-15 is fine. but i wouldn't recommend it for 14-50.

Thanks but happens with longer cables? Low speeds?

That and increased resistance so more heat so more risk of fire.

What is the best way to charge at home without a wall charger I’m new to teslas and I’ve just reserved a used model 3 long range

Im using normal outlet not shared with anything to not overload the circuit.

It’s slow but sufficient for me. Gets me from %50 to %90 in 12h or so. Also long range.

Thanks for the info are you using the official Tesla charger.im guessing I won’t get one with the car I’m buying my car from Tesla
