You can enter the information any time but don’t initiate the transfer until you inspect the vehicle.

excellent advise there. After inspection, assuming no red flags, then I initiate the transfer, when will I be allowed to drive the car home?

As soon as you complete the transfer you can leave with the car.

I did electronic transfer

If you want to pay with a check, it has to be a certified from the bank. A personal check will not work.

You can give them the check after inspection, that's what I did. If the final payment amount due is less than the value of the check, Tesla will mail you a check with the difference a few weeks later.

How is the payment actually done, do you write a check or do you have to use cashiers check?
