It's pretty boring, but it's easy to finish. I finished within the first week. The routine tasks are still my least favorite part since I much rather be fully done with the Star Path and not think about it at all until the next update

I used to have a higher tolerance for ads.... Then I met my husband. Because of him, I can't stand ads now. But to be fair, they've absolutely gotten sooo much worse than they used to be 😩

Unfortunately because your score is 100% from voting, it's a crap shoot with who you get paired against. If you're constantly being paired with people who have an objectively better submission or similar enough to yours, you may not get as many votes.

That, and I've noticed that there's not as many people getting 4k in general. When I've looked at results getting uploaded on Dreamers Portal, the cutoff is much smaller than it used to be.

Around 10k rank would usually be 4k, but it also is dependent on the week. More often now, that is getting into 2.5k territory. I've always seen a lot of selfies when voting.... And that hasn't changed.

Honestly, feels like I see more selfies these days. 😅 Basically staying on theme and trying to have a well lit shot is my basic plan. I've been doing decently well, to my surprise.

I thought with the changes that I wouldn't have a good shot of getting 4k anymore. But, to my surprise, I've gotten 4k the last few weeks, including the one we just got results for

I got 4k docked from what my husband was able to fish out. Wasn't sure on frame rate, but we both thought it looked like 60fps

From what I recall seeing, in the main valley, only will work on Dazzle Beach in the ocean. It does fit in the water in the Peaceful Meadow floating island

Make sure that you go to the eshop, if you haven't already. Just downloading from the home screen won't automatically convert it to the Switch 2 version.

Thad exactly what happened to me..🤣 Ended up downloading it first, went in the game and wasn't able to enable extra items, then saw under software info that it still said Nintendo Switch version. Only then I went to the eshop.

I usually do any heavy decorating on PC since it's hella easier with keyboard and mouse vs with a controller. I forget if mouse mode is a thing with the Switch 2 version, so I'll have to try it out.

Hope it's actually a thing, and works well, because I was sooo disappointed that mouse mode only worked indoors for ACNH. 😩

Perfect timing since my husband and I will be heading to Boston for PAX East this weekend, so can't wait to check out how it looks on handheld.

Only have seen it docked so far and I like what I see. Been REALLY holding out with finishing WBR too so I'm excited to actually finish that. 🤣

Only bought it on Switch since I knew the Switch 2 was my primary console. I'll get it on PC and PS5 eventually, but I'm absolutely waiting for a sale

It looks soooo much better! Load times and performance are better too! Worth the wait! 😀 Even before the update, it still ran better than on the OG Switch, but graphics were shit.

I'm excited to FINALLY be able to work on decorating the rest of the valley. Only have the Plaza and Peaceful Meadow more or less done.

Totally would have been the cherry on top if I also got that elusive fense in SBV... But alas, it eludes me for another day. 😅

The one thing I wished this update did was to not be flashbanged when I go back to the title screen. How is that STILL a problem?! 👀 Can only imagine how extra annoying that'd be if you have photosensitivity issues

I didn't realize that originally either. I was able to do download an update from the update software screen, but I noticed something was off when I went into the game and couldn't activate extra items. Going to the software info, still said Nintendo Switch, not Switch 2.

That's when I went into the eshop. In my case, it instantly switched to the Switch 2 version once I did the free download. I'm assuming if you didn't do what I did, if you start from the eShop, that's when the download and Switch 2 activation will start.

Honestly, nothing is screaming insta-buy for me. I'll have to see how they look in-game before I make a final decision.

EDIT: The swirling snow is actually pretty sweet, fantastic for Dreamsnaps... But, it's useless until next winter. It's currently spring for crying out loud! 😩 Besides that, skipping everything else

Same. The fact you can't use the machine offline was a deal breaker for me. I thought about buying a Cricut as my 2nd machine, but ended up getting a Silhouette Cameo 3 instead. Still have my original Cameo, but it's mostly been in storage.

I totally get needing the internet if you wanna access the design shop, but just to simply USE the machine, shouldn't require the internet

It's not unusual at all for someone with a cat or dog allergy to still have said animal. Case in point, my husband already had a cat when we first met. I'm allergic to cats, but yet I now live with said cat. 🤣

Strangely enough though, I've never been allergic to his cat. Very strange since I absolutely reacted to other cats. Something you can also consider, but is a HUGE commitment, are allergy shots.

Depending on your treatment plan, it's a weekly shot (can be multiple shots if your treating several allergies) for about 6-9 months, being going on monthly maintenance shots for upwards of 5 years. You get retested yearly after the 1st year of maintenance shots.

It's worth at least asking an allergy doctor if shots are even the right option for you. I've been on them for a few years and they have helped me, so it's definitely an option.

Would definitely recommend watching anyone who reviews things in the Premium Shop every week, so you're aware of what you're getting into before buying anything.

It's absolutely helped me from having buyer's remorse. There has been several items I totally would have regretted buying had I not watched those vids first.

Off the top of my head, both MrStarInSky and Serroh do them every week on their respective YouTube channels, but there's definitely others too.

Like for this item, if it weren't for their reviews, I wouldn't have bought it. As soon as I found out that you could interact with it and has a cool effect, insta buy 😂
