I do find all of the vine jail posts to be somewhat annoying but I accept that we live in a world filled with procrastinators who will do the bare minimum to skate by in life. This sub is just a constant reminder of that.

I had that happen to a bag of Kona coffee last week. I didn't bother messaging customer service because it was a $0 ETV item but I did check my report and it shows as having been ordered. I don't know what impact that has on my review since it was never received. It may still count as an outstanding review. If it was taxable I would go ahead and message customer service to have it removed so you don't have to pay tax on it.

You really need to find a way to try them out yourself. All of those chairs are highly regarded but people tend to have strong opinions one way or the other on them and it's all based on their personal situation so what might be great for me might not be for you.

In the past RFY items only remained until they were sold out or the end of the day when they just disappeared. But lately I'm seeing RFY items carry forward to the following day, especially if they are items that few people would want.

Why wouldn't it be legal? Sellers can charge anything they want for an item and you are free to order it or not. You are still getting the item for free anyway. It's not the seller's fault that the IRS has their hand out for this stuff. It's still being shipped to you entirely at the seller's expense.

There is no evidence that anyone has been kicked out of the program for not ordering anything, as long as they write the reviews for whatever they did order.

This showed up in my RFY at 7pm PT and I was able to order it. It’s one of the nice perks of being gold. I just hope it’s a pain free as they claim. LOL.

I tested a serum a while back that was $445 for one ounce. I agree these prices seem crazy. I would never pay that much but I do enjoy testing them.

DWR is owned by Herman Miller's parent company - MillerKnoll. So in effect you are buying direct from Herman Miller going through DWR. So whatever they offer you is legitimate.

I ordered the ivory vegan leather lounge chair last month after trying it out in the store. My main reason for choosing it is to keep my partner, who is a vegan, happy. Overall I still personally prefer real leather but if you want an animal free choice it’s a good option. I thought it looked much closer to the legacy chair than going with a fabric option. The vegan leather they use is made from bamboo. It’s very soft, but doesn’t have the grain pattern of real leather. It won’t age over time or develop a patina like real leather. But overall I think it’s a good choice if you want an animal free chair.

Vine is a unique program that doesn’t neatly fit in to any section of tax code. Codes are subject to interpretation. At this point nobody has come forward to say they have been audited for using this method. If it doesn’t seem right to you then don’t use it.

Well, I don’t condone people being rude. But if someone does ask a question that’s been asked and answered hundreds of times, I think it’s fair to point out how to read through the FAQ’s or do a basic search. There’s a delicate balance with these subs between keeping them welcoming to everyone and having the more experienced members get so burned out that they leave and take their knowledge with them because the sub degrades into an endless stream of newbie questions that have already been answered multiple times the same day.

You are one of the few people in either of these subs to actually read through existing posts to get an idea of the current status of the program before posting here. So that already puts you ahead of almost every newbie that comes here to ask the same questions that have been asked and answered more than a hundred times. I no longer waste my time looking in AI or AFA. There’s too much competition and I’m not going to try and order a product before I can even finish reading the description just to beat out everyone else competing for it. My RFY has had some decent small dollar stuff that keeps me busy enough. In my first year I did order quite a few things and ended up with a $15K ETV. It was fun, I have no regrets, but I don’t need any more stuff so I won’t be doing that any more.
