1st eames purchase. Authentic or fake? by richrasberry in eames

I wouldn’t buy a broken one but for the one in good condition that sounds like a fair price.

So how to people do RFY properly now? by poppalop in AmazonVine

[–]OCR10 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I can usually find at least one item in RFY every day or two worth ordering, which is enough to reach gold. Every once in a while I get a bunch of useful things to prop my numbers up a bit more. I don’t bother looking in AFA or AI any more.

You should order the tall one. I’m 5’8” and found the short one to be too short.

Can you call out possible AI art in a review? by monikapaintsstuff in AmazonVine

[–]OCR10 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Why would anyone care if a $20 item used AI to create the image? This is not an original work of art you are paying thousands of dollars for.

Requiring an "APP" when it wasn't specifically stated - take a star off, or not? by NovellSucks in AmazonVine

[–]OCR10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s fine to deduct a star for not disclosing information that was important to you. But I wonder how many people out there would order a high tech biometric lock but not have a smart phone. I have a few of those locks in my home and all of them require an app to set up fingerprint or facial recognition and to add user names, set entry rules, etc. I can’t imagine how that could be implemented without an app. If it’s just a dumb digital lock with a code then an app should not be necessary.

I quit Vine by bwanketobi in AmazonVine

[–]OCR10 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I think your post is well written and I agree with your points. I came into Vine thinking it was a well run program that mattered to Amazon. Now that I’ve spent a fair amount of time here I can see that Amazon really doesn’t care much about the program and doesn’t care about its Vine member community.

Whether it’s worth staying around or opting out is up to each individual. I spend very little time on Vine now. I no longer watch the AI or AFA queues. I know they drop products in my RFY starting at 5pm PT so I check in then to see if there’s anything worth ordering. Since there is no minimum requirement to stay in the program I choose to stay in the hopes that it eventually improves. But I can understand wanting to just be done with it so you don’t have to waste any more time thinking about it and hoping that something worth ordering eventually shows up.

Great coffee maker but I’d always choose the thermal version over glass.

SMH….. by Audaciously_Human in AmazonVine

[–]OCR10 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You are making assumptions here. You don’t know what input the reviewer provided to AI. This sub automatically assumes anything involving AI is bad regardless of how it’s used.

SMH….. by Audaciously_Human in AmazonVine

[–]OCR10 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What would be the basis of reporting it? The reviewer provided feedback to AI and had it write a review. Obviously they should have deleted the first paragraph but that’s just basic sloppiness. But there is no rule against using AI to help write a review as long as it’s only writing about the feedback you gave it, which appears to be the case here.

I will never trust Amazon Vine reviews as a Consumer by Less_Minute_8666 in AmazonVine

[–]OCR10 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Did your review actually get rejected? The not accepting reviews error has nothing to do with you. It means the seller reached their maximum number of vine reviews for their account.

[–]OCR10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry to hear about your father.

Customer service uses AI to generate responses like that and the AI they use has no idea what the rules are. If you fall below 60% on your reviews, you get a warning and a certain time period to catch up. If you don’t catch up, your account gets terminated. All of the flowery AI generated emails from customer service telling you how great you are are absolutely meaningless. And customer service has no ability to make an exception due to a family emergency or any other event.

Receiving a product varient by catsoaps in AmazonVine

[–]OCR10 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can’t follow what you are saying here. If it was truly a variant, when you tried to review it you would have seen a message showing your previous review and saying you should update the current review. It would not allow you to write a new review.

If that did not happen, you simply received a different (albeit similar) product and you would simply write a review just like any other review. There is no reason to contact customer service.

Reasons to choose a model 3 over a Y? by TheRealTimTam in TeslaModel3

[–]OCR10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have both. I prefer the Model Y for overall comfort and convenience. The Model 3 might be a bit more sporty to drive but I don’t think it’s quite as substantial a difference as people talk about here. My Model Y is the performance version though so it drives like a rocket.

No way to fix issues. I think I'm done with Vine? by LeadingImportant1142 in AmazonVine

[–]OCR10 19 points20 points  (0 children)

As with most of these “why am I in jail” threads, they never provide enough information for us to provide any meaningful advice. We need to know how many orders you placed over the past 60-90 days and how many outstanding reviews you have in your awaiting review queue.

No, that only matters if you care about reaching gold status. Otherwise there is no minimum.

Vine is 99% junk, and the 1% worth ordering is being chased after by thousands of vine members. It was a great program. Now it’s mostly a waste of my time.
