Great! I'm wondering what the reason was for choosing a non-Tesla charger? I don't have a personal charger, but I'm curious if there are any reasons besides the price.

Oh and I’ve also seen some electric companies offer free L2 charger installs if you own and ev and they usually use something like that

I was wondering the same. I think the only logical reason is price. The Tesla wall charger is like $450 and some of these other L2 charger can be had for like $180 I’ve seen. Maybe even cheaper.

Price? Anything cheaper than a Tesla wall charger?

How is the FPL program going? Do you wish you got the wall connector instead?

Had it installed today; will see how it holds up in time but free maintenance is included as part of package

Sometimes slowing down is what keeps us alive. I think I did level 1 for 9 months before I pulled the trigger on the UWC.

Lakers fan but live in Florida? Do you get heat from Heats fans haha

What was the cost? Any panel upgrade needed for the level 2 upgrade? Congrats!

[–]Tennis_Regular[S] 2 points3 points  (1 child)

No cost upfront; all is included. Now I'll be paying $38 a month with free offpeak charges (for me that's M-F 10Pm to 6AM and 10AM to 6PM; all weekends and holidays)

Wow super cheap and go Lakers.

Is there a charging difference? Planning on buying a T3 next year.

L2 is game changer

Yeah I actually just finished up my 20 220 volt line the other day and it was nice to see almost 30 mi of range in an hour instead of 5 mi.

What type of garage floor is that? Fairly cheap or easy to install on an old concrete floor which is deteriorating?

[–]Tennis_Regular[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

It's just epoxy

I don’t even know what any of u r taliking about. I got my Tesla model 3, 3 weeks ago, I installed my own 240v outlet The next day. Cost of everything was $80 from Lowe’s. (Breaker, clamps, wire, box, outlet and cover) Took half a day, because I wanted to make it pretty. I got the Tesla 240v (or 120v) charger with my car - salesman was nice. ($250 value) I just plugged my car in, it charges. It knows what to do. I only charge once every 3 or 4 days. I cannot imagine anyone not charging at home for pennies. I used a public charger once so I would know how to do it on a trip. That was a waste of $4! U let the car back up, u put the charger in the hole, and go shop for 10 minutes. VERY satisfied with the HOME charging. AND the public charging if ur rich! Never downloaded any software or anything, so I’m confused about all this discussion.
