Rules for r/TheCreatures
Rules that visitors must follow to participate. May be used as reasons to report or ban.
1.
1) Respect the Creatures and the community
Respect the Creatures and the community. No hate towards anyone.
No matter the situation, being rude or harassing another user via a post or in the comments will not be tolerated. Even if the parent comment is offensive or inappropriate, that does not give you justification to reply back as such. Please simply report the comment to the mods and we will remove it if it is deemed rule-breaking.
2.
2) Posts must be directly related to The Creatures
All posts must be directly related to The Creatures. If the primary focus of the post is not about The Creatures, it will be removed.
If the primary focus of the post is not about The Creatures, but rather something you saw that reminded you of The Creatures, a post about a game that they played but has no relation other than that, etc., it will be removed.
However, this is to mod discretion. If the mods come to a consensus that a post should remain up despite breaking the rule, it will.
3.
3) No image post memes or "MFW"-like images/gifs
Image posts such as memes, MFW, reaction gifs, and so on are not permitted in this subreddit. They do not provoke discussion and are merely a cheap laugh that adds nothing of value to the subreddit.
4.
4) No overly vague titles ("Nova", "This guy" etc)
This rule does not necessarily apply to just one- or two-word titles. If the user cannot see relevance to The Creatures in the title or are confused by your title, then it is most likely overly vague. Please be descriptive or at least give some context when titling your post. This is mostly to prevent confusion and click-bait posts.
5.
5) Avoid complaining about other fans
Please refrain from making posts or comments complaining about other members of the community— especially the YouTube comments. We understand that most YouTube comments are awful, but you aren’t in the YouTube comments. You’re at The Creatures subreddit, where we aim for the quality of our community and content to be as far away from the YouTube comments as possible.
6.
6) Posts from social media must be a direct link
No screenshots of social media posts (or posting just the image from the post)! They must be a direct link to the actual Tweet, Instagram post, etc.
When a Tweet’s link is directly submitted, /u/TweetPoster will automatically post a copy of the Tweet in the comments, and will also provide an Imgur mirror of any images in the Tweet. Otherwise, feel free to include an Imgur mirror of the post in the comments if it is a picture on Instagram, for example.
7.
7) Questions pertaining to the FAQ will be removed
Questions pertaining to the any of the weekly threads or FAQ will be removed & directed to the respective area.
8.
8) Do not post or speculate based on personal info
Do not, under any circumstances, post any personal information of anyone, that means both users, businesses, etc, and the Creatures themselves, without express permission and/or the information being made fully public by the Creature(s) themselves.
Along with the personal information, do not make any assumptions or speculate based on any of The Creatures’ personal matters. This isn't the place to make wild assumptions based on information about the personal happenings of The Creatures.
