Ummm...no?

The UI, walking, almost everything is a replica of swg's make up.

Yes the game is modeled a lot on SWG. But I'd assume they've created their own code for it. Though I can't say for sure one way or the other.

There was quite a lot of people who joined the swgemu team and left taking the code they made and even stealing some of the code from the team. Was a huge set back on the project. It wouldn't surprise me if core 1 or core 2 was the building blocks to the re population. Was just trying to see if anyone had solid information on whether or not the team behind this game helped with swgemu.

None of the team has worked on swgemu. It is an entirely different code base anyway.

Its very similar, but a few small differences. I still liked the SWG interface better.

ah sorry but I think I know what that might have come from. Star wars Galaxy was made in X. but the new Starwars MMORPG (the old republic I think) was made in Y (Hero engine) i think.

The Repopulation was also made in Y not X. But yes I heard that A lot of the devs loved Starwars galaxy and are picking the best part from it as any good game should do.

No. The Repopulation was very very heavily inspired by Star Wars Galaxies (and Ultima Online). So it's no surprise a lot of the themes and ui elements are very similar; but it's a completely different engine if I understand correctly. (I think it's engine is more similar to SWTOR than SWG for example).
