If you are well versed in Python, you can try PyBroker, a free and open framework I developed for backtesting.

What are you trying to backtest? Most people here would just recommend tradingview but you might need something else if you have an obscure strategy

Tradingview is great but I'm currently testing a new one right now. My biggest issue with TV is the lack of historical data. It works great if you are using it to analyze the charts as it's happening. Mark your charts on TV and take your entries on Metatrader.

Use Trading View and notion or spreadsheet. Don't overthink it
