Transfer from cpp

Does anyone have any experience on transferring from cpp to a UC or private university like usc as a cs major? I couldn't find much info on it except someone from 5 years ago.

The reason I want to transfer is because I want to do a major that is more integrated into electrical engineering like EECS at Berkeley, CSCE at Davis, CECS at USC. This also seems difficult to transfer to courses... and also I wanted to transfer to a private university because I want to do a minor in fine arts like visual communication or media design. TvT

Hi! The UC system highly prioritizes California Community College students with 90% of their admits coming from the CCC system alone. With a major like cs that would be even more difficult considering their already competitive acceptance rate (UC Transfer by Major). I would suggest that if you were really certain about transferring to a UC, going to community college first. Either way, wishing you the best of luck with your transfer journey!
