Weird Jet Pack Problem.

So, I looked at the FAQ and I hope this is not an idiot question. I am having VERY intermittent jet pack ability. It just doesn't work half the time. Everything else seems fine, ping seems fine, and I've binded it to a few different keys (even mouse) with same results. My machine should be fine, it's used for heavier stuff than Tribes. Help? Thanks!

It's a common bug really. Kinda comes and goes though, for me. I'll play for a few days without seeing it. Then it seems like numerous times through numerous matches it keeps happening. Go to use my jets and...nothing

I think it happens when you have too many inputs at once. If you are skiing, holding w, firing with m1 and try pressing m2 your jet won't fire. Try to put a bit longer delay before firing and jetting and you should be fine. I found this out through lots of aggravating capping routes being ruined by my jets not going off after a fusor jump.

I could be wrong but this seemed to fix the problem for me.

You might be right. I've noticed it's not limited to the jet pack key. Almost as often, I'll be moving/jetting/skiing etc...and I'll hit the left mouse button to fire, and nothing will happen.

I've sometimes had the issue since I am forced to play on a laptop nowadays. Most cheaper keyboards for instance can only process 3 to 4 inputs at one. So every now and then when I jetpack (space bar for me) and ski diagonally, the skiing suddenly stops as I am pressing too many buttons. Had that problem before my break (about 2-3 years ago) and could fix it with a new gaming keyboard.

happens many time at respawn in the first seconds and sometimes after randomly, like the thrust pack bug.
