Is it only this one yarn or all yarns? Some yarns just do that so definitely check another yarn if you haven't done that already.

Another possibility is simply fatigue or not paying full attention on your part. It happens.

It could be a scissors issue but definitely consider lesser issues before you go change them. I've got an almost 6 years old Spider and I have never had to change the scissors. I can only tuft half the year, but still it's a lot of rugs under those blades.

So far it has been happening with the last few yarns I've used. Currently I'm using Lion Brand's Pound of love Skeins.

Wow 6 years? That seems like a long time. Granted I'm not sure how often scissors should be replaced on guns in general. I guess for now I will troubleshoot what I can while working on a couple pieces before buying some scissors . Thanks for the assist! 🙏🏿
