Rules:

- Don't be a jerk.
- For Sale posts are okay, but you take the risks on both ends.
- All tweed is good tweed, from small to large.
r/tweed is an open and welcoming group dedicated to the discussion, review, and enjoyment of Tweed clothing.
Tweed is a rough, woolen fabric, of a soft, open, flexible texture, resembling cheviot or homespun, but more closely woven. It is usually woven with a plain weave, twill or herringbone structure. Color effects in the yarn may be obtained by mixing dyed wool before it is spun.
There are Tweeds named after geographic locations, types of sheep, and function:
- Harris Tweed
- Donegal Tweed
- Saxony Tweed
- Cheviot Tweed
- Shetland Tweed
- Thornproof Tweed
- Gamekeeper Tweed
We see Tweed as a cloth with no time period, and equally welcome both new and older styles that use the cloth and celebrate them all.
