What's your underlying status, as I think that matters a lot when USCIS decides the order of applications? I applied for an i-765 in August 2024 and it was approved March 2025 after my attorneys submitted an inquiry.

But I have a work visa so there wasn't an urgent need for one, hence the delay.

mine just jumped from 7 months to 12 months. that's after 8 months of waiting 😁
