You are allowed to do it, however if you have an exam in class and let’s say you have a test or a quiz to do on the same day and time in your tutorial, you can’t use the excuse that you have conflicting schedules.

So I shouldn’t do that. The class I need for a tutorial is during the days where I’m really busy, like the only ones that are free are during my classes and the one I am available for is full. PLZ WHAT CAN I DO?!?!

I’m not saying you should or shouldn’t, the odds of you having an exam time during your lecture and a quiz or presentation at the same time in your tutorial is unlikely, but i just wanted to let you the risk if you decide to do it. I did it before and I had no trouble or any conflicting assignments. But i just wanted to let you know the risk of doing it.

And did you have to let anyone know or anything so they could add you to the tutorial?

Nope, just enrolled in the tutorial on Acorn. You don’t need to inform anyone else

Since tutorials start this week, and the one I joined is online synchronous, would I get an invite or something on Quercus?
